M.A.R.V.E.L. and the fans electricity consumption:
Savings as significant as consumption for heating and cooling

The electricity consumption for extraction and air supply fans can represent a significant proportion of the energy required to operate the ventilation system of a professional kitchen. M.A.R.V.E.L. is equipped with a unique system that regulates the extractor fan speed to meet the flow requirements of the cooking equipment.

M.A.R.V.E.L. establishes a permanent connection between the calculator of the system and the airflow control dampers in the exhaust plenums. Thanks to this connection, fans exhaust airflow rates can be adjusted permanently so that all the exhaust plenums have the required flow, with the lowest possible pressure level.

Through adjustment of both the airflow rate and the pressure level, the fan rotation speed can be kept constantly at the lowest possible level.

The electricity consumption of the centrifugal fan is proportional to the cube of the rotation speed. Consequently, a fan that operates at 60% speed (and volume) has only 22% of the nominal power consumption.
